Conducted a
multi-million dollar project to roll-out a comprehensive Activity Based
Costing/Management (ABC/M) system across the entire Meteorological
Service of Canada within Environment Canada;
Conducted a
project to develop and implement a department wide Cost Management
System for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). Delivered a
complete CIC Cost Management System, providing management with a tool to
support workload funding negotiations, efficiency/effectiveness analysis
and performance measurement;
Conducted an
ABC/M capacity check for the DND Maritime Command (Navy) to
identify the status of their ABC models across the country, including
modelling techniques, staff competencies and resources to identify the
gaps in moving towards a Pan Naval ABC Model. Further conducted a
project to implement a strategic level Pan Naval ABC Model, including
the implementation of processes for sustaining the model on an on-going
basis;
Conducted a
project to implement a comprehensive Activity Based Costing (ABC) with
Environment Canada’s Ontario Region – Management Services Branch.
The system provided management with specific activity and output
costs, as well as cost per client groups.;
Conducted a
project to model and cost the end to end individual income tax return
process for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA);
Conducted a
Pilot Project for Environment Canada to implement a comprehensive
ABC system for the Interagency Services Branch (ISB). The system
was developed with the focus to help better manage activities and to
support product cost recovery. The detailed ABC system provided
information on the full cost of over a 110 specific weather forecasting
products and services being delivered to the Department of National
Defence (DND);
Conducted a
further Pilot Project for Environment Canada to implement a
comprehensive ABC system for the Meteorological Service of Canada
Pacific and Yukon Region. The system was developed with the focus
to help better manage activities and to support product cost recovery.
The detailed ABC system provided information on the full cost of
activities and products/services associated with a large number of
internal and external clients;
Conducted a
project for the Materiel Group (DND) to implement activity based
costing/management (ABC/M) pilot systems within the Defence R&D
Branch (DRDB). Obtained management approval of pilots and rolled
out the system across DRDB’s six sites;
Conducted a
project to implement a comprehensive Activity Based Management (ABM)
framework within the Defence Research and Development Branch (DRDB).
ABM was utilized as a tool to identify efficiency gains and to prepare
the branch to become an Agency in April 2000;
As a
subcontractor, developed and executed an ABC model for the Base Support
functions of various DND Bases. ABC data was used to benchmark
and optimize the delivery of services as part of Most Efficient
Organization (MEO) initiatives;
Developed and
executed an ABC model for the Supply Operations Services Branch (SOSB)
of PWGSC. ABC data provided the costs of contracting activities as
well as various contracting outputs. The data provided a foundation for
efficiency analysis as well as resource utilization and competency
analysis;
Developed and
executed an ABC model for the Director Intellectual Property (DIP)
with DND. ABC data provided activity costs as well as the cost of
producing specific outputs such as patents, license agreements, advice,
etc;
Developed and
analyzed a framework for implementing an ABC/M approach within the
Federal Government for the Office of the Auditor General. The
framework was analyzed to determine potential inhibitors to implementing
ABC/M within the Federal Government environment; and
Developed an
Activity Costing model to support the reengineering of the Corporate
Management business processes within the RCMP. The ABC data
provided a foundation for analyzing and improving business processes and
provided measures to assess the benefits of improvements.
